I have been to Washington state several time and I still haven’t been able to photograph Mt. Rainer.
The view never gets boring. Once a year the New York City skyline turns in the tribute in lights.
One needs to be here early morning before sunrise to capture the view; but I had to settle for the sunset. This view ain’t too bad.

Often referred as the bean, Cloud Gate is British artist Anish Kapoor’s first public outdoor work installed in the US. Using highly polished stainless steel, the bean reflects Chicago’s Skyline and the clouds. The arch of the “Gate” beneath the sculpture is an invitation to people to come and touch the mirror like surface and see your reflection.
Inspired by liquid mercury, the sculpture is among the largest of its kind in the world, measuring 66-feet long by 33-feet high.
It’s been an unusually warm winter this year and finally the first Nor’easter dumps a fresh blanket of snow.

I ended up in Pittsburgh at the wrong time over a weekend to only be greeted with deserted streets in downtown Pittsburgh and drove another 30 minutes to the closest Panera for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 days.

New York is one of the best places for photography, but to capture the skyline of New York, especially Manhattan; one must go across the Hudson River.
The stretch form New Port to Exchange Place in Jersey City you have breath taking views of Downtown Manhattan. Do not be in a hurry to get there and click pictures; but take your time and reach there just about 20 minutes before sunset and you won’t be disappointed. The sun setting just behind you casts a beautiful golden hue on the entire city. If you are lucky, go on an overcast day and if the rain clouds are clearing.
The city that never sleeps; turns on those tungsten and energy efficient LED’s once the sun goes down. Transitioning form the Golden hour to the Blue hour is also a surreal experience.
